Profhilo Vienna

Profhilo is a so-called bio-remodeling product: pure, non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid in a particularly high concentration, which slowly distributes itself throughout the tissue. It does not fill out or change shape—it improves the quality of the skin itself: moisture, elasticity, and firmness.

How does Profhilo work?

After injection at a few defined points, the hyaluronic acid spreads evenly throughout the tissue and is slowly released over approximately four weeks. During this time, it binds moisture and creates a stimulus to which the skin responds by producing its own collagen and elastin. The difference to traditional fillers: Profhilo doesn't reshape; it improves the existing skin.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

  • Sagging, thin or dry skin on the face, neck or décolleté
  • First signs of loss of elasticity, without loss of volume
  • As a starting point or supplement when skin quality limits other treatments

The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in case of infections in the treatment area, in case of known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, and in case of certain autoimmune diseases without prior clarification.

Procedure, sessions and outcome

An appointment lasts approximately 20 minutes. Two sessions, spaced about four weeks apart, are typical; a follow-up treatment is usually recommended after six to twelve months. Initial effects on skin hydration are quickly noticeable, while full collagen production develops over several weeks. Small welts, redness, or bruising may appear after the treatment, but these usually subside within a few days.

Risks and side effects

  • Swelling, redness and small wheals at the injection sites — usually for hours to a few days
  • Bruises
  • Rarely, infections, hypersensitivity reactions or palpable nodules may occur.

Profhilo doesn't replace volume and it's not a facelift. What it realistically does is noticeably hydrate and firm the skin. Anything beyond that would be unethical.

Cost

A Profhilo treatment costs 380 € Each session (approximately 20 minutes). We will discuss beforehand whether a second session is advisable—you will receive a specific cost estimate during the initial consultation. All prices can be found at [website address]. Prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Profhilo and hyaluronic acid fillers?

Fillers provide shape and volume, while Profhilo improves the skin itself—moisture and firmness rather than contour. Both can be combined.

What is the difference between prophilo and polynucleotides?

Both improve skin quality through different mechanisms—pure hyaluronic acid in Profhilo, nucleotide chains in polynucleotides. Which product is suitable depends on the skin condition and will be discussed during the initial consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

Typically, two sessions are performed about four weeks apart, followed by a touch-up after six to twelve months. This depends on the condition of the skin.

When will I see a result?

The skin often appears more hydrated after just a few days. The actual increase in firmness due to collagen production becomes visible over several weeks.

How long will I be restricted afterwards?

Hardly any. Small welts and redness usually subside within a few days. On the day of treatment, please refrain from sports, sauna, and makeup in the treated area.

Is Profhilo a skin booster?

Yes, Profhilo is one of the so-called skin boosters: injection treatments that primarily improve skin quality rather than building volume. It is applied over a larger area rather than to specific points and works by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

We will determine whether Profhilo is suitable for you during our initial consultation.
